Project Managers are responsible for the coordination and completion of projects. They set deadlines, assign responsibilities, direct the work of others, monitor and summarize the progress of projects, and periodically prepare reports for upper management pertaining to the status of projects. Project Management positions require exceptional familiarity with concepts, practices, and procedures specific to projects. Project Managers must rely on their extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A wide degree of latitude is given and creativity is expected. Some Project Management positions require a bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area such as CMDA, TDMA, site acquisition, system design, etc. PmP Certification is desirable.
